GLUTEN-FREE HOLIDAY SPECIALTIES Item No. GFHS20121110
Class enrollment is closed.
Class Type:
H Hands-On
Class Description:
Centuries ago, cooks in northern England let the fat from an oven roast fall into a “dripping pan” lined with batter. In 1737 a recipe for a ‘dripping pudding' appeared, followed by another in 1747 for 'Yorkshire pudding'. Fast forward to 2008 when the Brits proclaimed "A Yorkshire pudding isn't a Yorkshire pudding if it’s less than four inches tall!” Stollen, a traditional German Christmas sweet bread, is bursting with raisins, currants, citrus and tart cherries. Gingerbread, of course, needs no introduction. For those living a GF lifestyle, Harmons Cooking School Chef Evan Francois and Dietitian Jonnell Masson present easy-to-make recipes for these holiday favorites.
