Harmons Flu Shots
It is the time of year again to think about the flu and cold season. We're making it easy to get a jump on flu prevention by offering Flu Shots at every Harmons Pharmacy. Shots will be administered by your caring and trusted Harmons Pharmacists.
No appointment is needed to receive a flu shot this year. Walk-ins are welcome at every Harmons Pharmacy.
- The cost is $25 per person. Flu shots are covered by Medicare and some other health insurance plans.
- This year's flu shot includes H1N1 protection.
- This year we will be immunizing children age 9 and older.
- Fluzone HD - a higher potency flu shot for patients 65 and older.
The Pneumococcal vaccine will also be available at Harmons Pharmacies. People age 65 and older should be immunized against Pneumococcal disease, or pneumonia. Other high risk groups include: patients with diabetes, pulmonary disease, asthma (19 and older), cardiovasuclar disease, smokers and those suffering with chronic illness. Patients over age 65 who received their initial dose more than five years ago, and received the first dose at an age younger than 65, should be revaccinated.
