Jonnell Masson joined the Harmons family as the Registered Dietitian at Bangerter Crossing. Jonnell is Harmons’ second dietitian and important team member in developing a culture of health and wellness throughout the Harmons stores.
Jonnell completed the Coordinated Master’s Program in Nutrition from the University of Utah in 2011. While Jonnell’s formal education was most recently acquired from the University of Utah, her interest and passion for nutrition began while living overseas.
While living in Italy, Jonnell noticed the local community around her was focused on eating healthy and staying fit. She started reading nutrition books and developed a passion for nutritious and delicious food. A move to Germany presented a completely different view of food in the local culture. Experiencing the differences in the two approaches began the understanding of the link between food and health.
When asked why she is excited to be a part of Harmons’ health and wellness programs, Jonnell responded with honesty and sensibility. “Let’s be real, I love food! I want to be in the place where the interaction with people and food actually occurs,” explained Jonnell. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to help people right where they are making their food choices.”
We are excited to continue to expand our focus on health and wellness with Jonnell’s help and knowledge. Jonnell joins the Harmons family with a desire to help other lead a healthy lifestyle and wants to encourage people to try new things and make better choices.
