Chef Evan Francois has been with Harmons since April 2011. After teaching for a couple of years at Bangerter Crossing and City Creek, Chef Evan is currently the seafood director for Harmons.
Chef Evan came to Harmons from Colorado where he was the Executive Chef at Le Rouge, a French Bistro and the Executive chef at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado.
Chef Evan studied at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Scottsdale, AZ. Francois has worked in numerous restaurants and hotels across the nation. He has worked in every aspect of the culinary field and offers an extensive knowledge of French cuisine.
Chef Evan hopes to teach Harmons customers techniques they can use in their kitchens at home. "I want to teach about the stages of cooking, the things people can't learn from just looking at a recipe," said Chef Evan. He hopes to teach customers the basics of cooking, such as sauce making, so that they can be prepared to create any dish. "I want people to come into the kitchen and have fun," said Chef Evan.
In addition to teaching classes at Harmons, he is available to teach and demonstrate cooking techniques for private parties or team building classes.
