In July 2010, Harmons purchased the landmark Salt Lake neighborhood grocery store Emigration Market, at 1706 East 1300 South, which had closed earlier in the year. Keeping the original name, Harmons Emigration Market will feature all the great fresh fare as other Harmons stores as well as traditional grocery items just on a smaller scale. After a complete remodel of the interior, the new Harmons Emigration Market opened September 14, 2011.
