Clementines at their Peak!

Clementines aren’t just cute little oranges, but are also an easy, portable snack that is packed with nutrition.  With just 35 calories per fruit, they provide a whopping 60% of your daily vitamin C! More than just a lunchbox staple, clementines have endless possibilities.  A few of my favorites are:

Replace the work candy jar with a pretty bowl of clementines.
Fill a drawer of your refrigerator with clementines for quick, grab-and-go snacking.
Take them for a post-game treat to kids sporting events.
Try them with zoodles in this recipe for an easy Asian meal.
Keep a few in the car to ward off “hanger” during commuting or car pool.  As a bonus, your car will smell great!
Squeeze a few segments over a salad with a drizzle of olive oil for a tasty dressing alternative.
Eat a few clementines after dinner instead of dessert to curb a sweet-tooth craving.
Too short on time for breakfast?  Grab a few clementines and a handful of nuts to keep hunger at bay.
Take clementines in your gym bag or backpack for a refreshing post workout or hike snack.
Chop and mix with berries or grapes for a fruit salad side or “salsa” to enjoy with graham crackers.

What are your favorite ways to enjoy clementines?  We love to hear your ideas!
