Tree Ripened Navel Oranges Are Here!

Did you know oranges are one of the few fruits that will not over ripen if left on the tree?

The farmers who grow our oranges leave them on the tree until they are ripe, which means they have a delicious, sweet flavor.  They often get sweeter as the season progresses, so plan on enjoying them for the next couple of months.

Navel oranges are peak of season right now. One cup of sliced oranges contains more than one and a half day’s worth of vitamin C, four grams of fiber, and is a good source of folate and potassium.

Slice them up to enjoy them on their own, or try one of these new ways:

Health-ify your dessert.

Peel and slice them to use as a beautiful topping to a yogurt tart.

Eat your greens.

Use them to sweeten up a green salad.

Stay hydrated.

Slice and add to water to bring some flavor to your beverage.
