Winter Produce: Avocados

Thanks to year-round growing in Chile and Mexico, we can get avocados all year in Utah—in addition to the California avocados available April through September.

Creamy, delicious, and packed with nutrition, avocados are a wonderful addition to many dishes. Here are some favorite ways to enjoy avocado from our Harmons dietitian nutritionists:

  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper and eat with a spoon
  • Chop and put on top of Harmons Corn & Black Bean Salad
  • Smash and mix with tuna salad
  • Smash and mix with white beans to use as a sandwich spread
  • Smash and put on top of Harmons artisan bread
  • Chop and put on top of your favorite chili recipe
