Is winter wearing you down? Follow these 6 tips to keep your energy level up!

Get Your ZZZs

It might seem obvious, but it is SO important. Build a healthy habit around getting 7-9 hours of sleep per night.

Drink Enough Water

Even mild dehydration can lead to unclear thinking and fatigue. You know you’re drinking enough when your urine is pale yellow.

Move Your Body

Exercise releases endorphins which help you feel energized. Added bonus: exercise usually helps you sleep better too!

Eat For Energy

Remember that Thanksgiving coma? Smaller meals keep energy up while large meals make you feel drowsy.

Get All 3 Macronutrients

A mixture of protein, carbohydrate, and fat will give your body all it needs to stay alert. Overloading or skipping on one can cause problems. Aim for balance.

Caffeinate Wisely

A little bit of caffeine can give you a boost, but too much backfires. Limit to 300-400mg/day and focus on unsweetened sources like coffee, tea, and energy waters.
