What better way to kick off spring than with a delicious and nutritious green smoothie?! Here are 3 things I love about green smoothies:

  1. Nutrient-dense. Getting the recommended 3 servings of vegetables per day can be difficult. Green smoothies are a great way to sneak in some of those nutrient-dense veggies! Dark leafy greens are full of folate, vitamin K, iron, and calcium.

Perfect template for a balanced green smoothie:

1 cup greens + ½ cup fruit + ½ cup liquid + source of protein and fat (think Greek yogurt, milk, nut butters, or seeds)
