Varying greatly from one region to another, Venezuelan cuisine is influenced by European (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and French), West African, and Native American traditions. Cultural food staples include corn, rice, plantains, yams, beans, and several types of meat, and this class will bring them all together as we learn the art of making Arepas.
We will be joined by Chef Patricia Manzano from Maracaibo, Venezuela. Patricia has a culinary degree from Escoffier de Venezuela and is going to share her culture, flavors, and cuisine with us! So, come and enjoy the flavors from Venezuela.
