East Meets West: Saké and Cheese

Wine and saké are both fermented alcohols, so, other than the raw ingredients, there’s not a big difference between them. Wine is made from grapes and saké from rice. With the global spread of Japanese cuisine, saké has become really popular around the world. In this special class, Wine Educator Bryan Hinschberger and Harmons Certified Cheese Professional Matt Deloach, are excited to bring together popular sakés from the East to pair with our favorite cheeses from the west.
