Online Class: Arepas 101

An arepa is a flat, round, unleavened patty of soaked, ground kernels of corn (or more frequently nowadays cornmeal or corn flour) that can be grilled, baked, fried, boiled, or steamed. The characteristics vary by color, flavor and size. Arepas are so versatile and perfect for trying new filling combinations, and did we mention they are naturally gluten-free? Join Chef Patricia Manzano from the comfort of your own kitchen to learn the tips and tricks to create perfect arepas for any occasion!

Each seat purchased includes a chef-prepared kit with all the ingredients you will need to create your recipes. Each kit contains ingredients for two servings of each recipe. Additional seats may be purchased for additional servings.

  • Kit Pickup: Please pick up your ingredient kit at Bangerter Crossings cooking school on Friday, February 19th from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or Saturday, February 20th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
