Kayenta Private Dinners at Harmons are Back!!! After several months with many of our friends “jumping ship” to avoid the summer heat as well as a few adjustments to Harmon’s staffing, Chef Jackie is excited to welcome everyone back with a – what she has dubbed as a “fun” meal for her dedicated friends in Kayenta and the surrounding community. August is the prime month for our regional farmers to bring their summer crops to market. Although produce suppliers can now supply products that are shipped from all over the world, this is the season for “fresh” from our local sources.
Chef Jackie is celebrating the season with a presentation of this summer’s bounty. The presentation begins with Chilled soup. The exact flavor is part of the mystery but candidates are cantaloupe, chilled cumber, or possibly cauliflower and ginger soup. The main course follows with a medley of Crostini of goat cheese, piquillo peppers and hot honey, Crostini of summer vegetable spread, and Tuna tarts with dill, tomatoes, capers, and eggs, all accompanied with a Spanish Niçoise Salad. Desert follows with one of Chef Jackie’s favorites.
Class begins at 6:00 PM, August 9 and the price for this class is $65. What to bring? We suggest pairing this dinner with a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Gris.August 9 @ 6:00 pm
