You may have ordered it in restaurants, but Chef Nancy will show you how to make this creamy Italian dish at home! Despite its appearance, risotto is not a type of rice but is made with a special high-starch, short-grain rice, named after the town of Arborio, in the Piedmont region of Italy, where it was first grown. The process of releasing starch is key to arborio’s creaminess. Come learn how to impress your friends with this traditional stove-top preparation of lovely creamy risotto. The risotto will be accompanied by a Porcini-Crusted Halibut and Autumn-Inspired Salad. This class will feature a wine pairing.
