You may have ordered it in restaurants, but Chef Nancy will show you how to make this creamy Italian dish at home! Despite its appearance, risotto is not a type of rice but is made with a special high-starch, short-grain rice, named after the town of Arborio, in the Piedmont region of Italy, where it was first grown. T he process of releasing starch is key to arborio’s creaminess. Come learn how to impress your friends with this traditional stove-top preparation of lovely creamy risotto. The risotto will be accompanied by a Porcini-Crusted Halibut and Autumn-Inspired Salad. This class will feature a wine pairing.
