Sourdough Bread from Your Kitchen

Chef Freyka will share her experience as a baker and teach you secrets that will help you bake great artisan bread in your own home! this hands-on workshop will teach you the secrets of keeping a lively sourdough starter, baking different type of sourdough breads, so that you can influence other recipes in later bakings. From the classic Harmons Sourdough to soft loaves and herb-infused focaccia, you’ll learn the techniques and gain the confidence to create bakery-worthy breads. Take home all your bake goods and your own sourdough starter and let your baking adventures begin!

What to expect in a hands-on Harmons Cooking School class:

  • You’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
  • You will be working in small groups, sharing workstations and equipment.
  • Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours unless otherwise noted above.
  • You will be standing, cooking, and working for most of the class. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.
