We’ll be making three tamales from different cultures, each distinct from each other; making sure to cover most of the masas from around the globe.
The confection of tamales is usually a family affair, passing down from generation to generation. Join Chef Freyka to learn the art of tamale making, and she’ll share her own mother’s recipe. From dough making, how to wrap, and steaming a perfect tamale, this workshop is an in-depth experience that will last a lifetime, and beyond as you pass it down your family’s line.
Come hungry! Class attendees will make enough tamales to satisfy any appetite, with plenty to take home.
