Steak Night, The Santa Maria Tri-Tip

Welcome to the newest edition of one of our most popular classes! We’ll do a Santa Maria Tri-Tip with a marinade of spices and herbs that make this recipe spectacular. The town of Santa Maria, California is home to one of America’s most delicious barbecue specialties: it is grilled beef tri-tip steak that is blackened-on-the-outside and pink-on-the-inside.  Come join us as Chef Tyler guides you through the process of cooking the perfect steak dinner and amazing sides you want to create at home again and again!

What to expect in a hands-on Harmons Cooking School class:

  • You’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
  • You will be working in small groups, sharing workstations and equipment.
  • Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours unless otherwise noted above.
  • You will be standing, cooking, and working for most of the class. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.
