Ahi Shoyu Poke

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1/8 cup chopped sweet onion
  • 1/8 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 jalapeno, cored, seeded, and diced, optional
  • 1/8 cup tamari soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 lb fresh ahi tuna, cut into cubed, bite-size pieces
  • Sea salt
  • 1 tsp finely chopped toasted macadamia nuts (optional)
DIRECTIONS:

In a medium bowl, combine onions, avocado, ginger, sesame seeds, jalapeño, if using, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ahi. Season with salt and toss to combine. Garnish with sesame seeds and macadamia nuts, if using.
