- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 oz banana liqueur
- 1-2 bananas
- 1 1/2 oz aged rum
- Vanilla ice cream
In a frying pan over medium heat, add butter, sugar, cinnamon, and salt and stir until butter melts. Add banana liqueur and stir to combine.
Peel, halve lengthwise, and add bananas to pan. Cook until bananas begin to soften, 1-2 minutes. Tilt back pan to slightly heat far edge. Once hot, carefully add rum, and tilt pan toward flame, to ignite rum. Stir sauce to ensure that all alcohol cooks out.
Serve bananas over ice cream and top with sauce in pan.
