Cinnamon-Sugar Doughnut Holes

Serves 8-10
INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup plus 1 Tbsp unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp freshly ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 425° degrees. Spray doughnut hole pan with cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, sift flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.

In a small bowl, add buttermilk, egg, vanilla, and butter and stir until well combined. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until combined.

Fill each doughnut hole cup with 1 level tablespoon.

Bake until tops spring back when lightly touched, 7 minutes. Remove doughnut holes from pan to wire rack. While hot, roll in a cinnamon-sugar mixture.
