Fresh Cran-Raspberry Sauce

Serves 12
  • 1 (12 oz) bag fresh cranberries
  • 1 pt fresh raspberries
  • 2 blood oranges, juice and zest
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 star anise

In a medium saucepan over high heat, add cranberries, raspberries, orange juice and zest, sugar, and anise. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes, until cranberries have opened up and sauce thickens. Cool slightly and remove anise.
