Grandma Gayle’s Famous Fudge

Serves 3 lbs
  • 8 oz mini marshmallows
  • 15 oz bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 6 oz evaporated milk
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar

In the bowl of a stand mixer, add mini marshmallows, bittersweet chocolate, and butter.

In a large pot over medium high-heat, combine sugar and milk and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 8 minutes, stirring often to keep from burning.

Drizzle milk mixture into stand mixer on low speed. Mix until combined and smooth, scraping sides of bowl to combine thoroughly.

Grease a 9″ x 9″ pan with butter. Pour warm fudge into pan and spread evenly until smooth.

Chill fudge in fridge until cool and set. Once fudge is set, cut into bite-size pieces.
