Kodiak Cakes Corn Dogs

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 cups Kodiak Cakes Buttermilk and HOney Frontier Flapjack and Waffle Mix
  • 1 cup corn meal
  • 1 egg
  • Water
  • 8 hot dogs
  • Craft sticks
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
DIRECTIONS:

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot to 350 degrees.

In a mixing bowl, stir together flapjack and waffle mix, cornmeal, and egg. Add water until thick like pancake batter.

Insert a corn dog stick into each hot dog leaving enough of stick showing to create a handle. Pat each hot dog dry with a paper towel.

Dip each hot dog into batter, covering hot dog all the way up to where stick is inserted. After dipping, put immediately into the hot oil to fry until golden, 3-4 minutes total. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
