- 10 fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
- 1/2 rich simple syrup (2:1 sugar to water) Tbsp
- Crushed ice
- 2 good quality bourbon oz
In a julep tin or rocks glass, muddle mint sprig with simple syrup by gently pressing to release oils. Pack glass with finely crushed ice. Pour bourbon over ice, and mound more ice into top of glass. Garnish with mint.
