INGREDIENTS:
- Tea Syrup
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 green tea bags
- 3 whole star anise
- 3 cups sugar
- Punch
- 1 (750 ml) bottle vodka
- 12 oz lemon juice
- 12 oz tea syrup
- 3/4 cup water
- Ice cubes
- 1 (750 ml) bottle Italian Lambrusco wine
- Orange wheels studded with whole cloves
DIRECTIONS:
To make the tea syrup, bring water to boil over high heat. Add tea bags, star anise, and sugar and let tea steep, about 15 minutes. Stir water until sugar is dissolved. Remove tea bags and allow to cool.
In a large punch bowl, combine vodka, lemon juice, tea syrup and water. Add large ice cubes and stir to combine. Add Lambrusco just before serving and stir to combine. Garnish with orange slices studded with whole cloves.
