September is National Family Meals month, which is a time for families to focus on eating at least one more meal together each week. Enjoying meals together supports the well-being of children and adolescents, helps fight obesity, reduces substance abuse and makes families stronger—creating a positive impact right here in Utah. There are many reasons that families might find it a struggle to eat meals together. The one that I hear most often is that they don’t have time. To help with that, here are some quick and easy ideas and recipes that make dinner happen in 30 minutes or less.

- Grilled chicken or tofu, a bagged salad, and corn on the cob
- Harmons Corn & Black Bean Salad topped with steamed shrimp and sliced avocado
- Plant-Based Egg Roll in a Bowl
- Pan Seared Cod with Pineapple Salsa served as tacos with corn tortillas and avocado slices
- White Chicken Chili
