National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day

If you forgot about National Peanut Month in March, you still have the chance to celebrate National Peanut Butter & Jelly Day on April 2! As an affordable staple in school lunches, enjoyed by even the pickiest eaters, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are one of America’s favorite food pairings. Here are ideas for how to celebrate this day:

Mix It Up. If you are bored with the typical PB&  sandwich, try changing things up by using sourdough bread, adding sliced bananas, or grilling the sandwich for a few minutes.

Peanut Allergy? Not to worry. Other nut or seed butters like almond butter, cashew butter, or sunflower butter are delicious and nutritious alternatives, and still pair perfectly with jelly!
