Greek Inspired Grill

The Summer grilling season is here so come let Chef Nancy show you how to entertain in traditional Greek style! This is Greek cuisine with a plant-forward theme – a style of cooking that emphasizes plants but is not limited to them. You’ll learn how to make some classic Greek dishes, perfect for your next outdoor (or indoor) party! This class will feature a wine pairing.

  • Lemon Marinated Halibut, Zucchini, Tomato Kebab
  • Maroulosalata – a classic Greek salad with fresh herbs
  • Baba Ghannouj, Fire-Roasted Eggplant, Lemon, Garlic
  • Roasted Cauliflower with Feta and Honey

The Basque country of Northern Spain is one of the most celebrated culinary regions in the world!  Traditionally, in northern Spain, tapas and pintxos are the main snacks you will encounter in bars and restaurants. Join Chef Nancy in preparing simple and rustic dishes, especially popular in the Basque country. We will pair a lovely Spanish Cava with your meal.

Grilled Asparagus with Hazelnut Romesco, Lemon Zest and Manchego Cheese
Flatbread with Roasted Red Peppers, Shallots and Goat Cheese
Patatas Bravas – Crispy Yukon Gold Potatoes, Guajillo Chile Sauce and Saffron Aioli

Get your kicks at City Creek as we explore the Mother Road! We’ll cruise through the heartland of America as we feature dishes from towns and cities along the iconic Route 66. Americana food culture will be the star (and stripe) of the evening. Yes, there will be barbeque! Seven courses and beverage pairings will delight your senses as the wind blows through your hair (if you have the top down…or maybe on your motorcycle?). Chef’s Table: Give My Regards to Broadway

For Pride Month, our City Creek Chefs have been hard at work listening to show tunes to create dishes inspired by Broadway! On the playbill is an elegant 7-course meal with each dish based on a favorite musical. There will be beverage pairings (some with alcohol and some without) with each course. Our pride month favorite, Whorechata, is back to add a sassy, celebratory atmosphere to our already glitzy evening.  Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show while we serve you, and take care of the dishes!

  • Overture: Hamilton – Potted Pork, Tavern Biscuits, Pickled Carrots, Parsnips, and Apples with a Sam Adams Shandy

Knife Skills

Are your knife skills sharp enough?  Join Chef Nancy as she demonstrates the essential cuts for cutting a wide range of vegetables and fruits. You will learn the best way to hold your knife to maximize safety and efficiency as she demonstrates the four main cutting techniques- low, high horizontal, and pull. You will be introduced to the basic cuts: dice, julienne, batonnet, chiffonade, mince, and citrus supreme. Included with your workshop is a new Henckels knife and a few recipes to practice your newly found skills. A light snack will be served during class.
