Japanese Art of the Grill-Yakitori Favorites

Late into the 19th century in Japan, food stalls were becoming very popular. Those food stalls would use scraps of game fowl from restaurants to make the food they served. Thus, yakitori means “roasted bird” but it came to describe cuts of of barbequed beef and pork as well, with small pieces placed on a skewer and cooked over an open flame. In this class Chef Jake and Sous Chef Bryton will be taking you on a crash course of yakitori and Japanese cuisine!
