Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine

Harmons is distributing the COVID-19 vaccine as it becomes available. The vaccine is an important tool to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please learn more about the vaccine by visiting https://coronavirus.utah.gov/vaccine.

All Harmons pharmacy locations are currently administering the COVID-19 vaccines. Most of our locations are offering the Pfizer formula with the others carrying the Moderna. The Pfizer vaccine is available to any customer 12 years old or older, while the Moderna shot is only approved for adults. You can walk in without an appointment and we will get you in as quickly as possible, or you can make an appointment and select the type of vaccine you wish to receive here.

There are many vaccine providers across the state. If you are having trouble finding an appointment with us, we encourage you to schedule with a different provider.

At this time, all Harmons locations that are administering vaccine shots are supplied with the Pfizer or Moderna produced vaccines.

Yes, we have been trained to administer the vaccine and remain up to date on all related services and policies.

The CDC has recommended guidelines for the roll out of the vaccine, and has made each state aware of those recommendations, but each state controls their own timeline, and in some cases that even changes according to the county in which you reside. We understand that there may be concern over the safety and effectiveness of a COVID-19 vaccine. The FDA has overseen the many different clinical trials, and they are required to make decisions that are guided by science and data. Following rigid protocols in the trials, the vaccines met FDA safety and effectiveness standards and are available in the United States by emergency use authorization.
Any vaccine or medication has the potential to cause a severe allergic reaction. Those with a history of severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to injectables or other vaccines should discuss the risk of having the vaccination with their doctor. As with all vaccines, there can be minor side effects. Our pharmacists are well-trained and prepared for any emergency situation.
You cannot develop COVID-19 from these vaccines. The vaccines currently approved for emergency use in the United States were not developed using a live virus.

No, they do not. At this time, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a single dose. The other available vaccines require two doses, the second given three to four weeks after the first. If needed, our pharmacists can help you schedule your second dose at the time of your vaccination.

No. It is necessary to have a two-week spread between the flu and COVID-19 vaccine.

Harmons is taking strong measures to ensure sick associates do not report to work. We have a strict protocol in place to address any confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19. Any associate who has symptoms or is confirmed to have COVID-19 will be sent to quarantine at home and told to contact their health care provider. In addition, all associates who were in contact with the associate will be monitored closely for symptoms. The area where the associate worked will be properly sanitized using extreme precautions. Harmons will not identify any associate by name in order to protect their privacy.
