Our registered dietitians break down the science of nutrition into real-world healthy living solutions. They work in Harmons stores to create healthy recipes, provide nutritional analysis, and one-on-one coaching. Active in the community, they also provide education and promote a healthy lifestyle to schools, businesses and other groups.
Our dietitians make it easy for you to use the freshest Harmons ingredients to serve up satisfying and healthy meals. Whether that means creating more health-savvy recipes, building a menu for specific dietary needs such as gluten-free, low-fat or portion controlled, or determining your ideal nutritional intake, our dietitians create solutions tailored to you.
Determining Nutrition Criteria
Healthy eating starts with understanding what you are putting into your body. Our dietitians can help you understand the nutritional differences between various foods and how they can affect you. They review each food category separately when determining nutrition criteria because foods from various food groups differ nutritionally. Criteria is based on the 2010 edition of Dietary Guidelines for Americans – healthy eating guidelines created using the most recent scientific evidence.
Using this criteria, our dietitians create Dietitians Choice items with the following nutrients in mind:
