Harmons in your Community

Celebrate diversity with Harmons throughout
all local cultures and communities.

Utah Food Bank

We love local, and that goes for local causes, too! As a local grocery store in Utah, Harmons is in such a unique position. That’s why we accept donations for the Utah Food Bank at all of our locations throughout the year, and especially in November. With the help of our loyal customers, we support the Utah Food Bank at Thanksgiving with Give-a-Gobble and The Cross-Roads Shelter’s Turkey Toss!  Harmons annual Give-a-Gobble fundraiser accepted $198,472 in donations just last year to provide Thanksgiving dinners to 3,700 families in Utah, in addition to our more than $2 million in food donations throughout the year.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society

We love working with all of our partners, but one of our nearest and dearest is with the Utah-Southern Idaho Chapter of The National MS Society! The National MS Society is a non-profit organization working toward a world without MS, and that’s a vision we love to stand behind. Through events like MS Walk, MS Bike, MS Volleyball, and our month-long brat meal fundraising event in store, all throughout June, you help us support their fantastic cause! In 2020, we raised $178,288, and all the proceeds from these events went directly to funding MS research and helping people in Utah live their best lives while searching for a cure.

Special Olympics of Utah

From golf to bowling, working with the Special Olympics of Utah is as rewarding as it is fun! Supporting a fantastic cause, SOUT works to provide over 2,300 Utah athletes, their families, and caregivers with training, competition in Olympic-type sports, and so much more for people of all ages with intellectual and physical disabilities. And there’s nothing Harmons loves more than helping SOUT go for the gold!  Keep an eye out at your local Harmons for fizzy root beer floats and in-store fundraising each March!  All proceeds go directly to funding SOUT’s events throughout the year—just last year, largely through the generosity of our fantastic customers, we raised $176,518.

Teach to Taste, Loveland Aquarium, and Red Butte Gardens

We know how important the arts and education are, so we sponsor several programs in museums, schools, and more to show our support, starting right in the classroom!  There’s nothing Chef Lesli enjoys more than teaching others about flavors, where our food comes from, and encouraging them to try new things. With that passion, she leads the way as each store visits local 1st grade classes through our Teach to Taste program, instructing students about nutritious foods, their uses, and origins.
Of course, there’s more to education than knowing your food—like knowing what else it can do! That’s why we supply Loveland Living Planet Aquarium with the freshest produce to feed our flippered and finned friends.
But our love of nature doesn’t stop there! We adore Red Butte Gardens and their enthusiasm for exploring the arts! Every summer, Harmons shares a little love as a stage sponsor to the Red Butte Concert series.
