Why Shop Local?

As a locally owned and operated grocer, Harmons carries more than 3,000 local items in our stores. We understand the importance of shopping and buying local, including the numerous benefits to our community economy. Goods that are grown or produced locally keep money here, where it’s needed, creating both jobs and stability. And the difference it makes in our environment is a very big deal. The ultimate destination of local goods is close to home, with no long trips in planes or trucks, cutting down on fossil fuel emissions. For more detailed information on how shopping local benefits our community and world, check out our blog here.

Explore Our Wonderful “Local” World

From artisan cheeses and craft chocolates to beard-grooming products, Utahns produce some of the best produce, food, drinks, and self-care products on the market. And when you head to your local Harmons to do your grocery shopping you can find them all in one place. Along with this year’s Harmons Local Supplier Development Grant winners—Salsitas Mendoza, Park City Creamery, and Miss Essie’s BBQ—we also have melons from Stirling Farms, Normal Ice Cream, barbecue rubs and sauces from Hey Grill Hey, and so much more.
